Football Game Preview: Cypress Park Tigers vs. Bridgeland Bears + How To Watch

Cypress Park is 1-6 against Bridgeland since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 7:00 p.m. Cypress Park has given up an average of 59.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-14, which was the final score in Cypress Park's tilt against Cypress Ranch on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 830th, while the Mustangs are ranked 203rd).

Despite the defeat, Cypress Park got top-tier performance from Ja'Harvey Johnson, who rushed for 125 yards and one touchdown. Anthoni Terrell got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed eight in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Terrell, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Bridgeland was just a hair shy of victory on Saturday and fell 49-48 to Cypress Springs.

Cypress Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bridgeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Cypress Park was taken down by Bridgeland 56-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Bears' Kash Schwab, who rushed for 101 yards and a pair of TDs, and also caught one score.
