Baseball Recap: Pope John Paul II Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Pope John Paul II entered their tilt with West Harrison on Friday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the West Harrison Hurricanes with a sharp 11-2 victory.

Logan Cooper made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February.

In other batting news, Andrew Hoff was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Trey Dieudonne was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Pope John Paul II was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Harrison only posted a batting average of .280.

Pope John Paul II's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
