Softball Recap: Sugar-Salem Drops Highest Score of Season Against Teton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sugar-Salem). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 21-19 victory over the Teton Timberwolves on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Diggers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Sugar-Salem got a massive performance out of Seneca Bitter, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Evie Belnap also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Sugar-Salem now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Teton, their record now sits at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Sugar-Salem will challenge Preston at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Diggers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Teton, they will square off against Idaho Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
