Softball Game Preview: Gateway Panthers vs. Cocoa Beach Minutemen

Gateway hasn't had much luck against Cocoa Beach recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will welcome the Minutemen at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

While Gateway's victory against Freedom wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Patriots 2-1.

Meanwhile, Cocoa Beach came up short against Cocoa on Friday and fell 5-2.

Natalia Soto made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Gateway's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Cocoa Beach, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
