Basketball Recap: Isaac Estrada Key Part of a Team Effort in Cougars Win

There's no place like home for Dell City, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They enjoyed a cozy 66-52 win over the Fort Davis Indians on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dell City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaac Estrada, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Estrada a new career-high. Anthony Galvan was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine boards.

Estrada wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Dell City was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Dell City's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Fort Davis, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sierra Blanca the next time they take the court. Dell City will head out to face Sierra Blanca at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Fort Davis will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
