Volleyball Recap: Kenedy Starts off Right with Win over Stacey

Kenedy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Stacey Eagles. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory didn't come easy: Stacey scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-21.

Kenedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bel Solis led the charge by getting ten digs, eight kills, and six blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Haislie Garza, who had six kills, six digs, and four blocks.

Looking ahead, Kenedy will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Nordheim at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stacey, they will be taking part in a tournament against Marion at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
