Heritage Academy proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 12) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Starkville Yellowjackets 2-1. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 9-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Charlie Fowler was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Heritage Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Academy will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Grenada at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Starkville, they will welcome Kosciusko at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
