Basketball Recap: Corona/Vaughn Beats Reserve for Their Second Straight Victory

Reserve came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Corona/Vaughn, but Harper Dunn wouldn't allow it. The Corona/Vaughn Cardinals blew past the Reserve Mountaineers, posting a 66-18 victory thanks in part to Dunn, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 21 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Corona/Vaughn's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kassidy Lightfoot, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, ten boards, and ten assists. Those ten assists gave her a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Corona/Vaughn and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corona/Vaughn will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Des Moines at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Corona/Vaughn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season. As for Reserve, they will head out on the road to square off against Dexter at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th.
