Volleyball Recap: Poca Triumphs

Poca saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Man Hillbillies by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Poca was: they took both sets by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-2, 25-6.

Sophia Bailey paced Poca's offense, picking up nine kills. Bailey got some help from Abby Barnett and her seven assists. Ellie Gray and Ashlinn Sullivan kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

Poca's win bumped their record up to 5-0-1. As for Man, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Poca wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Roane County on the 30th. As for Man, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lincoln County on the 30th.
