Soccer Game Preview: Farrington vs. Roosevelt

Farrington is 0-8-1 against Roosevelt since January of 2014 but things could change on Saturday. The Farrington Governors will head out on the road to challenge the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Farrington is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Moanalua an easy 8-1 victory. The Governors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt lost 6-2 to Kailua on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Rough Riders in their matchups with the Surfriders: they've now lost three in a row.

Roosevelt's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2. As for Farrington, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Farrington might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Farrington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
