Basketball Preview: Spring Lake Lakers vs. Coopersville Broncos
Spring Lake has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Coopersville Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Spring Lake is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Broncos in Michigan (the Lakers are ranked 50th, while the Broncos are ranked 265th).
Last Friday, Spring Lake didn't have too much trouble with the Trojans on the road as they won 45-28.
Meanwhile, Coopersville's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They fell 48-36 to Holland Christian. Coopersville has struggled against the Maroons recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Spring Lake pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Coopersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
Spring Lake beat the Broncos 52-44 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Spring Lake repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
