Softball Recap: Solon Comes Up Short

If Solon was riding high fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Mayfield on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets fell just short of the Wadsworth Grizzlies by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost three in a row.

Solon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Palsa, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. Palsa is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Solon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Wadsworth, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Coming up, Solon will head out on the road to challenge Streetsboro at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wadsworth, they will face off against Olmsted Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
