Football Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City lost against Sharon back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles fell 23-14 to the Tigers. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Grove City took the loss, they still got scores from Gavin Purdy and Levi Toth.

Grove City's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Sharon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Grove City is set to challenge their familiar foe Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Purdy and Kelvin Morrison. Meanwhile, Sharon will face off against rival Conneaut Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
