Softball Recap: Annawan Braves vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers
Annawan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers by a score of 7-6.
For Erie-Prophetstown's part, Wynn Renkes made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. Renkes was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Lilly Swatos was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Lillian McWilliams was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.
