Baseball Recap: Oyster River Comes Up Short

Oyster River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-4 to the Pelham Pythons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Pythons when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oyster River's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Pelham, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oyster River is set to face off against their familiar foe Stark at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcats 2.9, the Generals 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Pelham will take on rival Kingswood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
