Soccer Recap: Western Branch Takes Down Ranked Hickory

Western Branch faced Hickory in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bruins came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 3-1. Western Branch haven't had any issues with Hickory recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Western Branch pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those four matches. As for Hickory, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3-2.
