Recap: Premont Cowboys vs. Freer Buckaroos
The Premont Cowboys's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 74-52 walloping at the hands of Freer. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Premont in their matchups with Freer: they've now lost five in a row.
Leading Freer to victory were Peyton Borden and Ayden Ramirez. Borden dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals, while Ramirez dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten steals. Ramirez hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Joesph Serna, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Premont has been struggling recently, as they've lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Freer, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Agua Dulce the next time they take the court. Premont will host Agua Dulce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Freer will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
