Basketball Recap: Phillips Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Phillips hadn't done well against Edgar recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Phillips Loggers walked away with a 57-50 win over the Edgar Wildcats. This was payback for the Loggers, who suffered a 61-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Phillips has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Edgar, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Phillips wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-51 victory against Gilman on the 10th. As for Edgar, they have also already played their next contest, a 73-50 loss against Wittenberg-Birnamwood on the 10th.
