Softball Recap: Oregon City Takes a Loss

Oregon City suffered their closest defeat since May 22, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Dallas Dragons by a score of 4-2. The Pioneers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Oregon City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callie Arnold, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Sophie Funnemark also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Oregon City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Dallas, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oregon City will venture away from home to square off against Westview at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Dallas, they will head out to challenge Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
