Recap: Clarkston Angoras vs. Westminster Wildcats

The Clarkston Angoras's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Westminster, falling 78-19. Clarkston has struggled against Westminster recently, as their game on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Clarkston had strong showings from Jessica Mays, who scored 16 points along with two steals, and Joyce Sirika, who scored no points. Mays hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clarkston struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Clarkston's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.0 points per game. As for Westminster, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Clarkston will be playing in front of their home fans against Druid Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westminster, they will head out on the road to challenge Hapeville Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hapeville Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Friday.
