Softball Recap: Handley Comes Up Short

Handley lost to Millbrook back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Judges came up short against the Pioneers, falling 19-1. The Judges have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Handley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madyson Thacker, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. Thacker has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.

Handley's record is now 4-9. As for Millbrook, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Handley will face off against Sherando at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Millbrook, they will square off against Kettle Run at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.4 runs per game on average), something the Pioneers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
