De Soto waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the North Crawford Trojans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pirates have posted against the Trojans since October 16, 2021.

De Soto was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-20, 25-21.

Kylee Venner paced De Soto's offense, picking up 15 kills. Venner got some help from Ella Koch and her 41 assists. Makenna Gilman controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

De Soto's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for North Crawford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

De Soto has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Ithaca on the 7th. As for North Crawford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Kickapoo on the 7th.
