Baseball Recap: Methuen Comes Up Short

Methuen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westford Academy Grey Ghosts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 6-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Methuen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Westford Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Methuen will be playing in front of their home fans against Tewksbury Memorial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Westford Academy, they will welcome Boston Latin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
