Baseball Recap: Thunderbird Adventist Academy Wins Going Away Against Tohono O'odham

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holy Family Academy, Thunderbird Adventist Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Tohono O'Odham Eagles as Thunderbird Adventist Academy made off with a 13-7 win. With that victory, Thunderbird Adventist Academy brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Jacob Baumann made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Baumann was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Allen Mihai was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Peter Gaxiola was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Thunderbird Adventist Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win got Thunderbird Adventist Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Tohono O'Odham, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
