Basketball Recap: Patterson Wins Going Away Against Hilmar

The third road game was the charm for Patterson, as they earned their first road win of the season. They were the clear victor by a 61-39 margin over the Hilmar Yellowjackets on Monday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Hilmar still got an impressive performance from Aaron Solorio, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. With that strong performance, Solorio is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Silveira, who posted eight points.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-6. As for Hilmar, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Patterson and Bella Vista will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Patterson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Bella Vista likes a good challenge. As for Hilmar, they will take on St. Vincent de Paul at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Vincent de Paul is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season.
