The Glades Day Gators will challenge the Clewiston Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glades Day is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.1 runs per game this season.
Glades Day took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Pahokee get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Gators haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Kristabella Flournah made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Reilly Baltazar was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Lakatos, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Clewiston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Oxbridge Academy, falling 15-0.
Glades Day's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Clewiston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.
Glades Day's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Gators have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 11.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Clewiston, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Glades Day continue to outrun the ball?
Glades Day was able to grind out a solid win over Clewiston when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 18-14. Do the Gators have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
