Softball Recap: Birmingham Has No Trouble Against El Camino Real

Birmingham won the last time they faced El Camino Real and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Patriots were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Royals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Annabella Venegas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Jasmine Martinez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Bella Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Birmingham's record is now 6-8. As for El Camino Real, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Birmingham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Taft on the 2nd. As for El Camino Real, they have also already played their next matchup, a 17-1 win against Chatsworth on the 2nd.
