The Diamond Ranch Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Ontario Christian Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Diamond Ranch is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
If Diamond Ranch beats Ontario Christian with 11 runs on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Montclair on Friday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Izel Avalos made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Jauregui, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs. Liset Renteria was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Ontario Christian was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell just short of Duarte by a score of 2-1.
Ontario Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karli Cook, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
Diamond Ranch's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ontario Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Diamond Ranch hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .363. However, it's not like Ontario Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Diamond Ranch beat Ontario Christian 9-4 when the teams last played back in February. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
