Basketball Recap: New Hanover Has No Trouble Against Miller School of Albemarle

On Friday, the New Hanover Wildcats strolled past the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks with points to spare, taking the game 78-59. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Rodmik Allen had a dynamite game for New Hanover, going 10 of 14 on his way to 25 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Those 25 points gave Allen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellum Brown, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 19 points.

Miller School of Albemarle lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ryan Crotty, who posted 18 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Dyer, who had ten points in addition to eight boards and six assists.

New Hanover's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Miller School of Albemarle, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

New Hanover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-61 loss against Lake Norman on the 7th. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-53 defeat against Green Level on the 7th.
