Soccer Recap: Independence vs. Louisburg
After flying high against Mulvane last Tuesday, Independence came back down to earth. The Independence Bulldogs fell just short of the Louisburg Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Having lost for the first time this season, Independence fell to 1-1-1. As for Louisburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Independence will be playing at home against Parsons at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Louisburg, they will venture away from home to face off against Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
