League recap: Mitchell extends winning streak with victory over Memphis Northside

A District 16 recap November 5, 2013

Mitchell added to the longest winning streak in A District 16 this week by beating Memphis Northside, 44-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Mitchell took down the Cougars 44-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tomadreus Trezevant threw for 68 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.

Delquinton Boddie provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Hillcrest beat KIPP Collegiate.

Boddie was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 159 yards on 19 carries as the Vikings defeated Memphis Northside. Teammate Robert Wilkins added to the ground attack by rushing for 24 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Tigers' Trezevant and Dejuan Mcquarters have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Trezevant has thrown for 1,205 yards this season, while Mcquarters has 32 catches for 573 yards. Boddie from Hillcrest leads the league in rushing with 695 yards.

Mitchell led A District 16 in scoring this week after putting up 44 points on the Cougars. Trezevant in the win.
