Baseball Recap: Osceola Gets the Win

Osceola was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Celebration Storm 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-5 back in February.

Jacob Ramos looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Osceola is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Osceola saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yamil Santiago, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Osceola has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season. As for Celebration, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Osceola will head out on the road to take on Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Longhorns' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Kowboys' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Celebration, they will look to defend their home field on the 8th against Haines City at 6:30 p.m.
