Volleyball Recap: Marshall Finds Playoff Glory Versus Dodgeville

It's playoff time, and Marshall had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Dodgeville Dodgers on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Dodgers, too.

Carly Checky paced Marshall's offense, picking up 14 kills. Checky got some help from Ava Neuberger and her 25 assists. Kenzie Logan controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Marshall is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-10 record this season. As for Dodgeville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-21 record this season.

Marshall will take on Darlington on Saturday. The Redbirds will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each matchup than the last. Dodgeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
