Soccer Recap: West Perry Takes a Loss

West Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gettysburg Warriors. While losing is never fun, West Perry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Gettysburg are ranked 146th).

West Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Gettysburg, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Perry will take on Greencastle-Antrim at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Perry will be up against Greencastle-Antrim's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.36 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gettysburg, they will square off against James Buchanan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
