Soccer Game Preview: Putnam City West vs. Southmoore

While Putnam City West's victory against Eisenhower wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Eagles 2-1. Putnam City West haven't had any issues with Eisenhower recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Southmoore faced Norman North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The SaberCats fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for Southmoore in their meetings with Norman North: they've now lost three in a row.

Southmoore's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Putnam City West, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-7-1.
