Recap: Cape Fear Colts vs. Pine Forest Trojans
The Cape Fear Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 36 points or more this season. They breezed by Pine Forest on the road to the tune of 72-28. The victory was just business as usual for Cape Fear, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Jayda Angel, who scored 34 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The match was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Elisabeth Kirkland was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Cape Fear pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.27 points. As for Pine Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Cape Fear and Richmond will face off at 2:00 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Richmond is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.3 points per game. Pine Forest won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Jack Britt at 1:30 p.m. on December 21st.
