Baseball Recap: Summit Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Summit's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Franklin Admirals on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Summit got a good showing from Brady North, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. North also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Spartans are 6-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-8 otherwise.

Summit's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Franklin, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16.

While Summit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
