After a string of five wins, Wheaton Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timothy Christian Trojans. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

While Wheaton Academy was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-22.

Wheaton Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Timothy Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Wheaton Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Chicago Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Timothy Christian will challenge rival Chicago Hope Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
