Baseball Recap: East Marion Takes a Loss

East Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 22-1 to the Columbia Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

East Marion's record is now 2-13. As for Columbia, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 14-9 record.

Looking ahead, East Marion will square off against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbia, they will venture away from home to face off against Loyd Star at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
