Justin Garza and Morro Bay squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Justin Garza had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 5-4. The Guardians' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Luke Trukki put in work no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs.

In other batting news, Isaac Perales made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with two RBI.

Justin Garza's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Morro Bay, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

Justin Garza does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morro Bay, they will challenge Mission Oak at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Hawks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
