Basketball Recap: Tracy Comes Up Short

Tracy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-65 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lodi Flames. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (62), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Tracy still got an impressive performance from Maximillian Russell, who went 8-for-20 en route to 20 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Russell is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Hardman, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and six rebounds.

Tracy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Lodi, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Coming up, Tracy will take on West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tracy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.3 points per game this season. As for Lodi, they will square off against Kimball at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
