Soldotna faced Colony in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Stars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Knights. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stars.

Cassidy Kruse paced Soldotna's offense, picking up 18 kills. Kruse got some help from Teagen Kobylarz and her 34 assists. Kruse was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Soldotna's victory bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Colony, their loss dropped their record down to 22-13.

Soldotna and Colony will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Stars see the court they'll take on Kenai Central at 6:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Colony, their break will end when they face Wasilla at 6:30 p.m. on the 28th.
