It was a good run, but St. Pius X Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Southwest DeKalb Panthers, falling 48-22. The contest marked the Golden Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

St. Pius X Catholic's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Southwest DeKalb, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
