Volleyball Recap: Nokomis Takes a Loss

Nokomis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Medomak Valley Panthers, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-16.

Rayonna White paced Nokomis' offense, picking up four kills. White got some help from Abby Strout and her four assists. Strout was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Nokomis' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Medomak Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Nokomis will venture away from home to face off against Hampden at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Medomak Valley, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gardiner at 5:30 p.m. on October 14.
