Softball Recap: LAMP Comes Up Short

LAMP was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Saint James Trojans, falling 16-2. The Golden Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

LAMP saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alice Vickers, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Even though they lost, LAMP was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February.

LAMP's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Saint James, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season.

LAMP will take on Charles Henderson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Saint James, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Pike Liberal Arts on the 29th.
