Basketball Recap: Calamus-Wheatland Comes Up Short

If Calamus-Wheatland was feeling good fresh off their 80-52 takedown of Easton Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Calamus-Wheatland Warriors came up short against the Bellevue Comets on Monday, falling 79-56. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 108-73 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Calamus-Wheatland's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for Bellevue, their victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-7.

Calamus-Wheatland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-47 win against North Cedar on the 21st. As for Bellevue, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-48 victory against Monticello on the 21st.
