Basketball Game Preview: Mesabi East Giants vs. International Falls Broncos

The Mesabi East Giants will head out to face off against the International Falls Broncos at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mesabi East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Mesabi East is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 105-47 win over Floodwood. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Giants with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 64 points the game before, International Falls was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 61-30 loss at the hands of Chisholm. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Bluestreaks recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

International Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Mesabi East, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Everything came up roses for Mesabi East against International Falls when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 83-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mesabi East since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
