Basketball Recap: Walton Takes a Loss

Walton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Pace Patriots, falling 56-24. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 489th, while the Patriots are ranked 237th).

Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Pace, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walton will venture away from home to square off against South Walton at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Pace, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Milton at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Milton's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so Pace's offense will have their work cut out for them.
