Murphy has gone 9-1 against Cherokee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home pitch against the Braves at 6:00 p.m.

After dropping their season opener at home, Cherokee is headed out to face a Murphy squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Murphy came up short against Smoky Mountain on Thursday, falling 4-1.

Meanwhile, Cherokee had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Blue Ridge Early College on Thursday. Cherokee haven't had any issues with Blue Ridge Early College recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Murphy got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Cherokee by a conclusive 6-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Braves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
