Basketball Game Preview: DeKalb Barbs vs. Naperville Central Redhawks

DeKalb hasn't had much luck against Naperville Central recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The DeKalb Barbs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Naperville Central Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. DeKalb will be strutting in after a victory while Naperville Central will be coming in after a defeat.

DeKalb will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Sycamore, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. DeKalb came out on top against Sycamore by a score of 40-29 on Friday. Given the Barbs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Spartans are ranked 329th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Naperville Central came up short against Naperville North on Friday and fell 64-55.

DeKalb has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Naperville Central, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-15.
